We are so happy to announce that Arup is the head consulting firm for Innovation Oakland!  Leading the team are:

Trent Lethco, Project Leader
Trent is an associate prinicpal with Arup's transportation planning group.  With a strong background in transportaion planning, policy and funding issues, he has extensive experience directing public involvement for projects involving muliple stakeholders.  Trent's primary focus is on effectively linking transportation and land use policy to achieve fiscal, environmental, and social sustainability.

 

Phil Carter, Project Manager
Phil is an urban and transport planner with over 10 years experience gained through work in Australia, Asia and the United Kingdom.  He provides a range of roles including strategic and specialized transport advice, integrated design input to master plan schemes, and management and direction roles of multi-disciplinary design projects.

Phil's growing interest is in master plan assessment techniques that measure and assess the performance of built form and urban design to inform and steer towards better design outcomes.  Phil's recent experience has involved working on urban regeneration projects providing transport advice in an integrated design forum.  This builds on Phil's work in areas of strategy, integrated plans, walking plans, cycling strategies and green travel plans to inform master planners and architects.  Key to all of these projects is the ability to provide international best practice for the delivery of sustainable solutions.

 

Cesar Sanchez, Deputy Project Manager
A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, Cesar has over 13 years in wayfinding and signage experience.  His experience includes the ability to analyze space usage, pedestrian traffic needs and program wayfinding solutions.  His experience has ranged from simple environments such as museums and office buildings to complex areas such as campuses and theme parks.
