Member Announcements: Forbes Avenue Paving: Beginning Monday night, July 27th through Thursday night July 30th, Lindy Paving will be performing their paving operation on Forbes Avenue as part of the Hometown Streets project. The operation will occur on the night shift from 7:30 pm to 6:00 am. The first two days the intersections will be milled, and the second two days the new paving and line striping will be installed. Throughout the operation, off-duty police officers and flagmen will be stationed at multiple intersections to assist with traffic flow. Please be advised that certain intersections will be closed for turning movements from Forbes Avenue, and traffic will be detoured to the next available intersection as has been the case all summer. Traffic will be shifted to either side of Forbes Avenue accordingly to maintain traffic flow and secure the paving operation simultaneously, and the intersection closures will be alternating in concert with the paving operation. Ambulances will be given special attention as they traverse through the work area. |
